Who am I? Why did I start a blog?
Hey! I’m Marisa
I am an optimist and I believe that there is nothing I cannot do.
I am a 27-year-old who has lived many lives. I have held over 17 jobs in the past 10 years, and have learned so much from each of them. I moved to Peru by myself when I was 19 and stayed there for TWO YEARS! I even got married there! (but that’s a story for another time…)
I’m back in the US now, living a happy life with my 3 Alaskan Malamutes, Douglas, Indy, and Roo, and my fiancé.
I have struggled in the diet/weight loss world since childhood and, as an adult, finally decided that I would take control over my life. I’ve been a vegetarian since August of 2023, and have never looked back.
I enjoy the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the Game of Thrones series, and many other fantastic universes.

MEET MY BABIES
Indiana Bones
aka: Indy, Baby bear
Indy is my baby boy. He likes to be included when I film TikToks, so he is a frequent special guest! He was born in October of 2022 and had epilepsy as a baby, so his brain is a little underdeveloped. He’s our *special* boy and he LOVES affection — but not more than cars and motorcycles!
Roo
aka: Roo bear, pretty girl
Roo is the other half of my soul. She is my favorite (yes, the boys know this) because she is the first puppy I’ve ever had outside of family dogs. She was born December 31st, 2021 and is too cool for me now.
Douglas
aka: Dougie, Mr. Bear
We rescued Dougie from the streets in Sacramento. He was heavily abused and unwell. He’s a senior pup, we think he’s somewhere around 11 or 12 years old. We celebrate his gotcha day on February 9th each year.
Why am I here?
My goal is to turn all of my bitter, difficult, life-changing experiences into something that can help you.
I want you to learn from my mistakes, feel comforted if you’ve gone through similar experiences, and learn to love yourself the way I have learned to love who I am!
